Opistognathus randalli, also known as the Gold-specs Jawfish, is a small, colorful marine fish.

- Appearance:
- Pinkish-white base color with yellow to orange vertical stripes.
- Yellow fins with a bluish rim.
- Brown head around the eyes.
- Behavior:
- Burrow-dwelling fish that spends much of its time hovering near or inside its burrow.
- Can be shy, especially when first introduced to a new environment.
- Habitat:
- Found in the shallow coral reefs of the western Pacific Ocean, particularly in the Coral Triangle.
- Inhabits sandy and rubble patches on the edges of reefs.
- Aquarium Care:
- Requires a well-established aquarium with fine sand substrate for burrowing.
- Peaceful and generally reef-safe, but may become territorial towards other jawfish species.
