Pectinia is a unique and striking LPS (Large Polyp Stony) coral, often referred to as Lettuce Coral or Space Coral due to its ruffled, sculptural appearance. It forms dramatic, leaf-like structures with sharp ridges and vibrant colorations, ranging from green and purple to multicolored...
Care Requirements:
Moderate lighting (T5, LED, or hybrid systems)
Moderate water flow
Requires stable parameters, especially calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium for skeletal growth
Can be target-fed with small meaty foods or powdered coral foods
Space needed around it due to sweeper tentacles, especially at night
Note:
While not the easiest LPS coral, Pectinia can thrive in a mature, stable system and makes a stunning addition for more experienced reefkeepers.
