The brownbanded bamboo shark is a bamboo shark from the family of epaulette sharks and bamboo sharks. This tropical species is found in the western Indian Ocean and can reach a length of up to 105 cm and a weight of up to 15 kg. They feed mainly on shrimp, squid, and small fish species.
